Virginia Tech Killer Attended Class on Horror Movies

Vacancy

A couple traveling to see family have car trouble in the middle of nowhere, they end up staying in an old motel while waiting for a nearby service station to open up. While there, they stop bickering long enough to check out a stack of video tapes near the TV. They soon realize the brutal horror movies they’re watching took place in the very room they’re in. Now the killers are going to play with them for a while, then let them star in a snuff film of their own.

I’m generally irritated by the term “thriller”, because so many idiots like to use that term to separate movies they consider “quality” from normal horror flicks, which they like to look down upon. Vacancy is an example of when that moniker is completely appropriate. This movie is all about pacing and keeping the suspense uncomfortably high.

Low Budget Productions (LPD) And Why Our Our Loveable Scumbag Chris Loves Them

Ok, it seems not many people are familiar with Low Budget Productions (LPD); Chris Seaver’s independent film company, which I find extremely disheartening. I’m hoping it’s merely because they’re obscure, even though they aren’t. They’ve been around like 16 years and responsible for not one…But three Filthy McNasty films, two Mulvas and well lots of others.

Phantom of the Opera

Only love and music are forever.

Directed by Dwight H little, the man who brought us Halloween 4, Phantom of the Opera offers a unique perspective on Gaston Leroux's tale of a madman haunting the catacombs of a famed opera house- the classic horror drama as slasher movie.

Heavy on Kevin Yagher's patented 80's gore makeup, this version of the tale (set in London, not Paris) gives us a Christine (a surprisingly endearing Jill Schoelen) who transports back in time after an on-stage mishap and comes face to face with Erik Dessler- a psychotic serial killer/composer who was driven mad when he sold his soul to have his music heard, only to have his face disfigured in the bargain.

Death Walks the Streets: The Truth Uncovered

I never thought I would be trying to uncover a possible scam so big that he may be breaking the law or screwing people out of money. Only through a lot of help from many various sources that would like to see Matthew burn have I have uncovered these facts that I am presenting you today. These facts seem to prove that DWTS is a lot bigger of a beast then we had originally thought and possibly one of the biggest scams in Horror. Do what you will with the information we uncovered and decide for yourselves…

Vacancy (2007) - Movie Review

VACANCY is a thriller about snuff films starring two actors who can’t act for shit but SURE ARE PURDY! It doesn’t leave an enclosed space, doesn’t even hit the ninety minute mark, features little to no character development or backstory and the bad guy is a former teen star in the process of aging most ungracefully. In addition, this is the English language debut of a Hungarian director who’s a dropped “t” in his last name away from being named “Nimrod Anal.”

‘Rapist Number 1′ Released as Action Figure!

My… oh my… DarkFigures & NECA Toys have released a "Rapist 1" action figure based on Quentin Tarantino’s character in Grindhouse’s Planet Terror. The name of the action figure is actually "Rapist 1" which, as pointed out on horroryearbook.com, is creating controversy… and for a reason. But heck, this is so out of this world, I just had to buy it and I will give it away as part of some contest.
