The Stepfather Remake

Writer/ Director J.S. Cardone (WICKED LITTLE THINGS) is already hard at work on the PROM NIGHT remake, which may piss some old school fans off. But he is also readying to sink his teeth into THE STEPFATHER remake…

TRAILER PARK OF TERROR

Based on the popular Imperium Comics series, TRAILER PARK OF TERROR is now in production in Southern California in conjunction with Bogner Entertainment Inc. The movie follows a group of kids on their way to a character building retreat with a Pastor (played by Matthew Del Negro of “Sopranos”). Along the way, they hit a huge storm in the middle of Trucker’s Triangle and seek shelter at a seemingly abandoned trailer park. A redneck reaper named Norma comes a knockin’, along with her fellow undead companions and other trailer trash.

Werewolf in a Women’s Prison - The Lost Art of Women in Prison Filmmaking

It’s been a long time since I visited the women in prison genre and this week it’s not an old film that marks my return, but rather a new film titled WEREWOLF IN A WOMEN’S PRISON. WEREWOLF is a Grade A - B-movie, not overly silly like the poorly done Shock-O-Rama “PRISON-A-GO-GO.” WEREWOLF manages to deliver all the wonderful WIP clichés with an added werewolf twist….

Spring has sprung and I’m proud to offer the fresh faced horror fans of the world “a new beginning” via another terrible trio of horrendously overlooked horror flicks. This weeks selections are a pair of underrated 80’s slashers and one wacked out 70’s occult epic! LET THE BLOODSHED BEGIN!!!

Hostel2.com Launched

Hostel2.com is now up and running. You can view the Gallery, Trailer, Synopsis, and some other crap. But the fun part is the “Bidding”. You can upload your own picture on the site and have complete strangers “bid” on you. Or you can pull a perv-ilicious move yourself and bid on the selection of people sorted by certain stats like height, body type, hair color, and nationality.

The Mad (2007)

Horror movies, as a whole, are hard to do well. I’ll be the FIRST guy to tell you that. Horror comedies are even tougher. If you can hear yourself laughing at any comedy, horror or otherwise, you have the physical and sensory proof that it’s working. Contrast that with a comedy that doesn’t work (cough-cough-NORBIT-cough) and inversely you can actually HEAR yourself being bored to tears…

Zombie Last Supper

"The Last Supper" is a well-known Da Vinci painting, and it now has a very cool zombified version. Found this on boing-boing, but it came from: http://www.myconfinedspace.com/2007/05/11/zombie-last-supper/.

Following to the link, you will get to watch the first three minutes of Magnolia’s "Severance", a British horror movie hitting theaters May 18, one week after 28 weeks later. In "Severance", an office outing turns bloody as members of the sale division of an arms company are attacked in the mountains of Eastern Europe by a group of war-crazed soldiers seeking revenge (see IMDB). Directed by Christopher Smith, this UK horror movie stars Danny Dyer, Laura Harris, Tim McInnerny, Toby Stephens, Claudie Blakley, Andy Nyman, Babou Ceesay, David Gilliam, Matthew Baker, Juli Drajkó.

I believe there is a flash Severance game somewhere, I’ll try to find it.

A Drunk Rant About Kazu Umezz’s WISH and Something Else

I don’t get it, people will tell you they love Japanese horror movies, then they will tell you they hate a movie like “Wish,” but if you ask me, this film to me is your typical Japanese. It’s weird, creepy, slow, and has a lot of shots of Japanese people just standing there staring. Sounds like the bulk of Japenese horror films I have seen.

Camp Creepy Time Book & Movie

Well, I guess a horror movie made by Nickelodeon Films wouldn’t be that exciting, except…it was based on a book by SHOWGIRLS seductress Gina Gershon! DreamWorks Films has already acquired the film rights to the book “Camp Creepy Time” and will co-produce the venture along with Nickelodeon Films. Writer Richard LaGravenese (BRIDGES OF MADISON COUNTY, seriously) is set to adapt the book for the screen.
