AMATEUR PORN STAR KILLER (2007) Movie Review
With a title like this, you would assume the film is a cheesy Troma sex romp. It is anything but. The homemade video follows a girl getting coerced into a hotel room and slowly being mentally dominated by an 18 year old man who likes to video tape women. Soon, the girl is physically overtaken and the film ends on a sad note.
The Invasion
Do not trust anyone. Do not show emotion. Do not fall asleep.
A space shuttle crashes to earth, leaving bits of it’s alien-contaminated wreckage across the land. The infection spreads quickly, taking a person over while they sleep. By the time people really start to notice they’re in the extreme minority, but a few people seem to be immune to the life form that now rules the world.
If you have a little kid and think they’d love to see a flick where aliens quietly and quickly take over the world, The Invasion would be perfect for you, but if you’re just looking for a great flick that shares the exact same description, go pick up Invasion of the Body Snatchers and see it the way it should be seen.
Basically what we’ve got here is a remake in the vein of Dawn of the Dead, meaning same setting, all new plot. If that were that, it’d be great, and for a while there I thought it might be. Nope, this one was Holliwoodified. That means they cut all the good parts so they get a PG rating, then they give the whole thing a double-coat of cheery-happy-stupid, then they invite us to enjoy this new and improved, synthetic film they’ve replaced an actual great film with.

I don’t know if this is new or not, but there is a clip of Michael Myers escaping the insane asylum over at Yahoo, (Watch Here), he looks like some bad mankind rip-off. This is going to be interesting.
Tom Savini in Lost Boys 2: The Tribe
News is spreading that Savini is supposed to be in the NEW Lost Boys sequel, where they have dropped the 2 from the name and are calling it Lost Boys: The Tribe. The clincher is that because of the success of the reality show “The Two Coreys,” The Tribe is going to go theatrical.
The Invasion Flops!
Another flop, this time it was the star powered Nicole Kidman movie The Invasion (Read Review Here) that failed at the box office, only pulling out a sad, sad $6 million.
Hostel 2 DVD Information
If you need more torture in your Hostel II DVD then you will need to buy the Blu-ray verison. DVDactive is reporting that even though you will be able to get the unrated DVD on either format, the Blu-ray disc will have more torture scenes.
Masters of Horror (Season Two) We All Scream for Ice Cream - Tom Holland
“Ice Cream Man,” however, arrives from the director of such memorable films as “The Temp” and possibly the worst Stephen King adaptation of all time, “The Langoliers.” With a script adapted from a John Farris short story by the guy who wrote the two worst “Texas Chainsaw” films and the two worst “Critters” films, why would I have expected anything else?

The INVASION (2007) - Movie Review
Remakes do not get much love these days but if you were looking for a film to defend their existence, you couldn’t find a better example then Phillip Kaufman’s 1978 retelling of Don Siegel’s 1956 classic INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. Kaufman’s film respected its predecessor at every turn while slyly creating a more sophisticated and mature tale.
