Dimension to Release MOTHER OF TEARS, DIARY OF THE DEAD, and more!
The Weinsteins are up to their elbows in genre fare now that they paid an expensive visit to the Toronto Film Festival and purchased some films.
Amongst their selection- Dario Argento’s MOTHER OF TEARS, George Romero’s DIARY OF THE DEAD, some French movie called INSIDE about a pregnant woman, and something else called SOLSTICE involving twins and suicide.
THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT Casting Updates
Elias Koteas (ZODIAC), Martin Donovan (INSOMNIA), and Kyle Gallner have joined the cast of THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT.
THE HAUNTING stars Virginia Madsen as a mother who must confront the supernatural while caring for her son dying of cancer. And while this sounds like a Lifetime movie, distributor Lionsgate compared it to THE EXORCIST.
Raw Feed Announces OTIS, REST STOP 2, SUPERMARKET
Warner Brother’s direct-to-video Horror label, Raw Feed, has announced their 3 new titles: OTIS, SUPERMARKET, and REST STOP 2. Not too much info is available yet, but here is what we have so far:
George Romero to Make Sequel to DIARY OF THE DEAD?
And you guys thought it wouldn’t do well….George Romero’s TIFF premiere of DIARY OF THE DEAD apparently drove the audience nuts, caused a bidding war, and could spawn a sequel.

This has been highly anticipated since Capcom reinvented the Resident Evil series, and pretty much the entire survival horror franchise, with their chart topping Resident Evil 4. With Part 4 topping out many of the Top Ten Best Video Games Ever lists, Capcom had a lot on their plate to think about. So they decided to change the series again… and it sounds good.

Dario Argento’s MOTHER OF TEARS Reviewed
No, we didn’t get our grubby hands on Dario Argento’s newest outing yet, but once it arrives, we will do all kinds of nasty things to it. Variety somehow managed to snag a peek and I believe this is supposed to be a negative review, however based on their summation I would say we have every right to anticipate its release.
