Brain Hammer’s PICKS FROM THE CRYPT Vol.19: Four On A Meathook!

This week’s column is dedicated to director William Girdler. William began a tragically short, yet incredibly prolific film career in 1972 with the release of his first picture – “Asylum Of Satan.” He then went on to make eight more films over the next six years before dying in a helicopter crash in 1978. William will always be best known for his unique contributions to the 70′s horror genre. This weeks’ PICKS FROM THE CRYPT are a fearsome foursome of Girdler’s fabulous fright flicks! The Weinsteins are up to their elbows in genre fare now that they paid an expensive visit to the Toronto Film Festival and purchased some films.

Amongst their selection- Dario Argento’s MOTHER OF TEARS, George Romero’s DIARY OF THE DEAD, some French movie called INSIDE about a pregnant woman, and something else called SOLSTICE involving twins and suicide.
