Trailer for 2008 Horror Film ‘Amusement’

The movie tells the story about three women who are stalked by a killer with a grudge that goes back to the girls’ childhoods.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill! (1965) Playground Movie Reviews

While out in the desert seeking thrills and racing their cars, three sexy and tough go-go dancers meet a nice young couple just looking to run some time trials for their car. Varla (Tura Satana), the leader of the gang of go-go dancers, wants to emasculate the guy and show how big her balls are so she challenges him to a race. Of course she cheats a little and a fight ensues in which she kills him with her bare hands. Instead of leaving any witnesses, they drug and kidnap his girlfriend.

Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving Merchandise

Yes you read that correctly, since Grindhouse and Hostel 2 flopped Roth has to make money somehow. So why not sell T-shirts (See Here) from his fake Grindhouse trailer Thanksgiving at Hot Topic? Sounds like a good idea to me, cash in on the pseudo-punk and goth kids who were too clueless to go see the films in the first place, and I am not being sarcastic.

U.S. Mother of Tears Trailer

Fangoria has posted their exclusive first look of the Mother of Tears trailer and so did every other horror website, so why shouldn’t we? You may watch it here.

Are You Scared

After waking up in an abandoned factory, six kidnapped terns realize they are contestants on a reality show called “Are You Scared?”

Six young adults are kidnapped and forced to play cruel and fatal games for the entertainment of a sicko who watches it all on security cameras, while hoping to teach them all a lesson about life. Sound familiar? No effort is made to hide the fact that this is just a complete rip-off of Saw. The only real differences, besides a lack of quality, is that in Are You Scared survival doesn’t seem to be possible. Kinda makes the “teaching a lesson” aspect silly, I think.

I started this one with some seriously low expectations, but right away I realized the kills and traps were truly cringe-worthy. They really go a long way toward making up for the ridiculous plot holes and dialog straight out of a late-night Skinemax softcore thriller. Really, hiring someone to improve the writing a little, and maybe injecting a sniff of originality and this could have been pretty good. It wasn’t that bad as is.

Real Cloverfield Monster Video

Here is a video of the REAL monster from Cloverfield. It is just a glimpse, but at least you can get an idea of what the monster will be like. It also gives me hope that this may actually be a decent, American version of the giant monster movie. We have not had one in a long time, and the last two monster movies I’ve seen were Godzilla: Final Wars and The Host.

Killer Cup 1 & 2 - Movie Review

The best part about Killer Cup is that it is in French with no English subtitles. Killer Cup 2 does have subtitles, but you really don’t need them. There is not much dialogue in the films and they both feature a lot of rock music, making them like one long music video. Not to mention the cups speak a language only known to themselves, so no one would be able to translate what they were saying anyway.

Teeth Official Poster

I know we reported on this film about a year ago when it was at Sundance (Read Here). Here is the official poster and synopsis.

The Mist (2007) Movie Review

It’s no great secret that anything bearing the stamp of Stephen King’s name has been a steaming pile of crap for almost two decades now. It could be a book (“Gerald’s Game,” “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon”), a movie (“Dolores Claiborne,” “Dreamcatcher”), or a T.V. Series (“Kingdom Hospital,” “The Dead Zone”) either way it was a piece of shit.

Magic

A Terrifying Love Story.

Anthony Hopkins plays Corky, a magician with absolutely zero personality. He's a nebbish who can't seem to communicate with anyone - a bad quality for someone whose career depends upon how well he interacts with his audience. Fortunately his manager is none other than Mickey who, just two years prior, whipped Sylvester Stallone into shape to win a boxing title. Lucky Corky. He restarts his career as a ventriloquist, using a creepy wooden dummy named Fats.

Something strange begins to happen to Corky though. He becomes so successful with Fats that he soon discovers he can't communicate without him, and actually begins speaking through the dummy. Is he sliding deeper into insanity, or is something more sinister going on?

Final Destination 3-D?

Don’t get too excited about the 3-D part, just be excited that there may be a part 4. From what I remember part 3 was supposed to be in 3-D also, but it never happened. The Hollywood Reporter reports:

Driftwood (2007) Movie Review

Driftwood excels with a terrific cast. The cast is very diverse including a Disney channel star, a reality television star, and a professional wrestler. They all give great performances and make the film that much better. Ricky Ullman, star of the Disney show, Phil of the Future, shows great depth in Driftwood.
