The Bone Eater

Don't disturb the spirits.

The Bone Eater is a Sci-Fi channel gem that I strolled upon on a lonesome sober Saturday night. It starts out with three construction guys uncovering some Indian ruins. The newly uncovered ruins formulate into an awesomely cheesy skeleton warrior and the warrior promptly destroys the three shocked construction workers for their troubles. When the Bone Eater hits you with his sword, or whatever it is, you immediately disintegrate. Its a pretty awesome weapon. He can jump really high and summon a spectral horse at will too. Pretty bad dude.

Anyway, he fucks up a bunch of guys in this movie. Our hero is a small town sheriff who is trying to mend his rocky relationship with his estranged daughter who is with him for the summer, all the while trying to stop this evil minion. A pretty tall order. Throw in you prerequisite Indian chief, Indian hotty, a Vision Quest or two, and an evil land developer and you haveThe Bone Eater!

Im a sucker for the Sci-Fi channel. They feed me Ice Spiders, Blood Monkeys, and giant alligators and I keep coming back for more. The Bone Eater is no different.

B.P.R.D.: 1946 #1

It is arguable that the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) series did not really hit its stride until the Plague of Frogs story arc, when Guy Davis took over the art duties. The fact that Guy Davis has penciled all 30 issues since Plague of Frogs is a testament to how his […]

Cell

On October 1st of an unspecified year , one Mr. Clayton Riddell- aspiring artist - is happily walking away from a meeting wherein some execs who have told him that his comic book has been optioned for large sums of money.

Clay, as we come to know him, stops off for some ice cream and casually observes a woman in front of him speaking on her cell phone. Same goes for two teen girls standing in line behind him. Then these same people go vacant in the eyes, turn into bloodthirsty monsters and all hell breaks loose. Within moments Clay is running for his life amidst a literal sea of exploding cars, frenzied shootings and hordes of inexplicably violent people ripping other people to pieces in the middle of the streets.
