You can stop the whole “did Elvira rip-off Vampira” debate because it doesn’t matter anymore. Maila Nurmi aka Vampira passed away in her sleep at the age of 86 due to natural causes.
The Orphanage (2007) Movie Review
The house itself is an organic being. Like the best horror films and ghost stories, the structure itself is a pulsating and breathing organism. Bayona’s orphanage is not that different from the Bates Motel in Psycho; the horrible house in The Amityville Horror; the house in Burnt Offerings; the Overlook Hotel in The Shining and of course, the Freeling household in Poltergeist.
More Host 2 Details
THE HOST 2 will take place in Cheonggyecheon (or Cheonggye Stream), a creek running through the downtown of Seoul that leads to the Han River. Cheonggyecheon was covered with concrete between the 1950s and 70s to build a road, but restored in 2005.

These fucked up flicks are so overlooked in fact that I’ve actually encountered more than a few people who had already had them in their collection and didn’t even know it! All three of these obscure horror gems are widely available on dvd, either by themselves or included in reasonably priced collectors sets. It’s time to give these flicks the attention they deserve.
