Don’t
I went and saw Machete last night with a group of friends, and we are all absolutely blown away! After the credits rolled, if you are doubting that we were all squealing and gushing like junior high girls before we even made it out of the theater… don’t.
Machete isn’t really a horror movie, so to stick to topic I won’t be reviewing it or talking about it, except to say that if you are thinking about skipping it… don’t.
Instead, I would like to try to get the same kind of momentum that built behind the fake Machete trailer during Grindhouse to build behind another fake trailer that showed during Grindhouse: Don’t.
The brainchild of Eli Roth, sporting some incredible gore and a truly authentic feel, of all the fake trailers that showed during Grindhouse, the one that most deserves to become the next real feature-length film is Don’t.
Once you are done watching the fake trailer for Don’t, and have forwarded it to all your friends to start the grassroots movement to make this trailer become the next real live movie a la Machete, for fun you can go back to the beginning of this post and read it again in the same way the announcer talks through this trailer. Or don’t.
